Description

Graycor is seeking a Construction Technology & Data Analyst to support the Construction Technology Manager in managing data, improving processes, developing companywide reporting tools, and evaluating, implementing, and continuously improving technology.

 

Technology Implementation

  • Beta test new construction technology and AI tools with project teams and estimators in real-world conditions before wider rollout.
  • Work with the Construction Technology Manager to support the successful deployment and adoption of technology.
  • Adjust tools and workflows based on testing feedback and project needs.

Systems, Reporting, and Automation

  • Work with estimating and operations teams to increase the collection and use of operational business data.
    • Convert awarded estimates into detailed estimates using the company’s established cost codes and project management systems.
    • Develop and maintain historical cost databases for self-performed and subcontracted work.
    • Develop and improve Excel-based business and construction tools.
    • Identify opportunities to automate business processes and improve workflow efficiency across estimating and operations.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and visual reports that provide project and portfolio-level information.

Construction Technology User Support

  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for questions and troubleshooting related to construction software and hardware platforms.
  • Support organizational learning by developing and updating end-user training for the company’s technology stack.
  • Support new-hire orientation related to the company’s technology stack.

 

 

 

Position Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, finance, business, statistics, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience in data analysis, estimating, project controls, construction, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, charts, and data modeling.
  • Previous experience with Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, or similar business technology tools.
  • Previous experience with WinEst, Bridgit Bench, Procore, or InEight is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information and data insights into clear, practical guidance; and work with estimating, operations, and project teams to understand needs, troubleshoot issues, and support technology adoption.
  • Previous experience developing user-friendly technical training materials is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively across departments to understand business needs and help develop practical solutions.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new processes, systems, and technologies as business needs evolve.
