Description
We are working closely with a local authority in Lincolnshire to assist with the appointment of a Social Worker, on a 4-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £21.20- £28.28 per hour
Summary:
To undertake statutory social work duties to safeguard and promote the welfare, safety and development of children and young people. The postholder will work directly with children, young people, parents, carers and wider family networks, undertaking assessments, managing cases and delivering effective interventions in accordance with legislation, statutory guidance, professional standards and local procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake Child and Family Assessments in accordance with statutory guidance, legislation and local procedures.
- Identify and analyse risks, strengths, protective factors and unmet needs within families.
- Ensure the child's voice, wishes, feelings and lived experience are central to all assessments and decisions.
- Assess levels of risk and determine appropriate interventions to safeguard children.
- Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and contribute to child protection enquiries and processes.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
Essentials:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance and safeguarding frameworks relating to children and families.
- Working knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and Children Act 2004.
- Knowledge and understanding of child development, safeguarding, risk assessment and assessment frameworks.
- Experience of statutory social work practice with children and families.

- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
