As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Services in Montrose, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a government location, you will serve as a welcoming, visible presence while supporting access control, visitor check-in, and security-related communications. You will assist guests and staff with professionalism, help to deter incidents through attentive observation, and use computer or tablet tools as needed. - Provide customer service to visitors, residents, staff, and vendors at a government facility by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Monitor the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify authorized access, maintain visitor records, and issue or collect credentials in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Observe activity at the entry point and surrounding lobby areas, report unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts, and help to deter prohibited activity.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating professionally with facility personnel and the public.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least two years of security-related experience is required.
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
