As a Security Guard Full Time Reception Security in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional supporting education and commercial real estate locations, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and provide professional communication and customer service. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for occupants and guests. - Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and students by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and security-related policies at a front desk location.
- Welcome guests, verify identification and appointments, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry and visitor records.
- Monitor lobby activity, access points, alarms, and cameras as assigned, reporting unusual activity or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and contacting support resources as needed.
- Help maintain an organized, professional reception area while directing visitors and deliveries to appropriate locations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
