About the role
The QHSSE Department monitors the policy as regards Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment. On civil as well as dredging, environmental and offshore projects all over the world, they support the people in charge with the implementation, the control and the improvement of the QHSSE Management System. Because our people are our greatest capital!
What you’ll do
As a Quality Coordinator, you are the link between our quality management system and its practical implementation on sites and projects. Your focus is not only on compliance with standards, but above all on ensuring the correct execution of the works (Quality Control). You initiate and coordinate improvements to our systems to safeguard and enhance operational quality. You work from a bird’s-eye view within the QHSSE department, ensuring that our systems not only work in theory, but also genuinely contribute to error-free and efficient operations across the organisation.
Your main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Assisting in defining the quality control strategy and the corresponding resource planning for the coming years.
- Continuously improving the quality management system based on trends in QC findings by developing new processes, optimising existing systems and promoting standardisation across the different divisions.
- Preparing and publishing Lessons Learned to ensure the organisation systematically learns from project experience.
- Guiding and providing technical support to quality employees in the field, ensuring efficient follow-up of projects and permanent sites in close cooperation with the operational managers.
- Identifying and developing QA/QC-related training and coaching for both operational staff and quality employees, with the aim of increasing quality awareness and ensuring the correct application of work methods.
- Acting as the technical point of contact for external stakeholders, such as potential clients, subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure clear communication regarding quality standards and their implementation.
- Continuously analysing industry practices and standards to further develop our internal systems, ensuring that we always apply the most efficient methods for quality assurance in practice.
What do you need?
- You have a Master’s degree in a scientific field or an equivalent level gained through relevant professional experience.
- You have 8 years of experience in a QHSSE role within a complex, international industrial environment.
- You have a strong focus on Quality Control and understand how to translate management systems into day-to-day operational practice.
- You are fluent in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
- You will be based at our office in Aalst and are willing to make occasional short trips to our projects.
