We’re looking for an experienced PRN Hospice Registered Nurse who can step in when our patients and team need additional support.

This isn’t simply picking up extra nursing hours.

What You’ll Be Doing 

As a PRN Hospice RN, you’ll provide additional clinical support based on patient and agency needs, including: 

• Completing scheduled and PRN hospice nursing visits 

• Performing comprehensive patient assessments 

• Assessing and managing pain and other end-of-life symptoms 

• Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders 

• Educating patients and caregivers about medications, symptoms, disease progression, and comfort measures 

• Supporting patients and families through changes in condition 

• Coordinating with physicians, providers, pharmacies, DME companies, and other members of the care team 

• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary hospice team 

• Completing timely and accurate clinical documentation 

• Helping ensure patients have the medications, equipment, supplies, and resources they need 

• Providing additional coverage when census, acuity, vacations, or staffing needs require support

What You’ll Need 

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 

• Active Registered Nurse license in Oregon 

• Current CPR certification 

• Strong clinical assessment and symptom-management skills 

• Excellent communication and documentation abilities 

• Ability to organize and prioritize independently 

• Ability to work confidently in patients’ homes 

• Valid driver’s license and insured, reliable vehicle 

• Hospice experience strongly preferred 

• Homecare Homebase (HCHB) experience preferred 

Hospice care requires mobility, lifting, and active patient engagement in home and community settings.
