Materials & Procurement Operations Systems Specialist – Bilingual
Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States | On-site | Contract / C2C | 40 hours per week
About the Opportunity
MaxIT Consulting is seeking a bilingual SAP MM professional to support materials-management, procurement, inventory, and plant users at a client location in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
This position focuses on functional production support, troubleshooting, user assistance, and training. It is not limited to traditional implementation consultants.
Experienced SAP MM key users, super users, procurement specialists, materials professionals, and business users may qualify when they possess strong functional knowledge and can independently support SAP users in Spanish and English.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day functional support for SAP Materials Management processes.
- Assist users with purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, invoice-related issues, stock transfers, material master data, and procurement transactions.
- Investigate incidents involving purchasing, receiving, materials, inventory, vendor data, release strategies, and document flow.
- Determine whether operational issues relate to configuration, master data, interfaces, transaction execution, or user procedures.
- Support procurement teams, buyers, materials personnel, receiving teams, warehouse users, supervisors, and business stakeholders.
- Deliver practical SAP support and user training in Spanish and English.
- Maintain SOPs, work instructions, training materials, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Coordinate with SAP IM, WM, and PP resources when processes cross module boundaries.
- Monitor or help troubleshoot basic IDoc, EDI, and interface issues affecting purchasing and materials transactions.
- Support testing, production stabilization, incident resolution, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in rotational-shift coverage according to the schedule explained during the interview process.
Required Qualifications
- Professional working proficiency in both Spanish and English.
- Ability to support and train Spanish-speaking business users.
- Strong hands-on functional knowledge of SAP MM.
- Experience with purchasing, procurement, material master data, goods receipts, stock transfers, and related materials processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot SAP incidents and explain practical resolutions to end users.
- Experience working with plant, procurement, receiving, materials, or warehouse stakeholders.
- Availability to work on-site in Chelmsford five days per week.
- Availability for 40 hours per week and rotational shifts.
- Legal ability to work in the United States under a structure compatible with a C2C engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Approximately five or more years of SAP or materials/procurement operations experience.
- Exposure to SAP IM, WM, PP, or related logistics integration.
- Working knowledge of IDocs, EDI, interfaces, and failed transaction monitoring.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or both SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
- SAP certification or formal functional training.
- Experience in production support, hypercare, AMS, or manufacturing operations.
Important Information
SAP PP is not mandatory for this position. Candidates may qualify through strong SAP MM experience, provided they can independently support business users, troubleshoot operational issues, and communicate professionally in Spanish and English.
Experienced SAP business users will be considered when their background demonstrates substantial functional knowledge rather than basic transaction entry alone.
Candidates outside Massachusetts may be considered if they can relocate before the agreed start date. The exact rotational-shift schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
Employer or client sponsorship is not available for this engagement.
