Description
Within this role, you will be the first point of contact within the HR department, providing professional guidance to managers and employees while maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider people team in achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full employee lifecycle administration, including contracts, probation reviews, and leavers paperwork
- Complete induction and onboarding activities for new starters
- Maintain confidential and GDPR-compliant employee records in our HR systems
- Keep HR systems up to date with starters, leavers, probation reviews, and sickness records
- Support payroll administration by providing accurate employee data within deadlines
- Monitor the HR inbox, respond to routine queries, and draft standard HR correspondence
- Assist with employee engagement activities, including long-service awards and maternity support
- Provide administrative support to HR Business Partners and contribute to project work
- Support with sponsorship/visa arrangements and security training for team members
- Assist with People Team initiatives, audits, and compliance activities
- Complete general administration tasks including raising purchase orders and maintaining electronic employee files
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Previous administrative experience, preferably in HR or a fast-paced office environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Professional, approachable communication skills and ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Collaborative mindset with flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, high-performance environment
- Interest in HR processes and systems (CIPD Level 3 qualification or study is desirable)
