HR Director

About the Role

Our client is a consumer-focused company undergoing a significant business transformation, repositioning its brand around AI-driven New Retail and a modern outdoor lifestyle proposition. Following a successful strategic transformation and a new investment round, the company is entering its next stage of growth, with a strong focus on organizational upgrading, commercial expansion, and team building.

We're seeking an experienced HR Director to lead our people agenda and lay the foundation for sustainable growth. The HR Director will take a hands-on leadership role in organizational design, talent acquisition, and team development, working closely with senior management to build a high-quality organization aligned with the company's new business direction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Organizational Design & Team Building

• Partner with senior management to assess current organizational capabilities and design an appropriate organizational structure for the company's next stage of growth.
• Identify critical positions, capability gaps, and future hiring priorities across business functions.
• Develop a practical workforce and talent plan aligned with business expansion.
• Establish appropriate HR processes, policies, and organizational mechanisms as the company scales.

2. Talent Acquisition & Talent Mapping

• Lead end-to-end recruitment for key positions, with a particular focus on building the company's core management and professional teams.
• Develop talent maps and proactive sourcing strategies for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
• Build and maintain high-quality talent pipelines across relevant functions and industries.
• Establish systematic recruitment standards and processes to improve hiring quality and efficiency.
• Support senior management in assessing candidates against both technical requirements and organizational/cultural fit.

3. HR Strategy & Management

• Develop and implement HR strategies that support the company's transformation and growth objectives.
• Establish professional HR practices covering areas such as performance management, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement.
• Build scalable HR processes while maintaining an agile and entrepreneurial working environment.
• Provide management with data-driven insights on organizational and talent matters.

4. Business & Transformation Partnership

• Work closely with business leaders to understand evolving commercial priorities and translate them into people and organizational requirements.
• Support the organization through its ongoing transformation and future expansion.
• Prepare the organization for the progressive integration of AI-enabled workflows across functions.
• Contribute to building a high-performance culture with strong professional standards and accountability.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above. Strong academic background is preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant HR experience, with significant exposure to recruitment, talent acquisition, and organizational development.
• Strong track record in talent acquisition and talent mapping, particularly for professional and management-level positions.
• Experience working in the Internet, technology, e-commerce, consumer, or New Retail sectors.
• Experience in established and professionally managed organizations with structured HR practices and high operating standards.
• Strong understanding of organizational design, workforce planning, and team building.
• Professional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand commercial priorities and translate them into people strategies.
• Hands-on and execution-oriented, with the ability to operate effectively in a lean and rapidly changing organization.
