Director of Integrated Facilities Management - JLL
What this job involves: As Director of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM), you'll lead the strategic oversight and operational excellence of an expansive 200-site domestic portfolio, managing a matrixed team of 140 JLLers. This role encompasses EH&S compliance oversight, work order management, third-party vendor coordination for IFM service delivery, and strategic identification of account growth opportunities. You'll serve as the primary driver of operational excellence while managing complex priorities across multiple locations and service lines. The Director of IFM will report to the Account Director.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Direct all aspects of integrated facilities management operations across sites, including HVAC systems, building automation, janitorial services, audio visual support, EH&S compliance, and general maintenance with 24/7 operational support
Develop and manage operational and capital budgets, ensuring financial performance meets targets while identifying cost-saving strategies and value-add initiatives that align with client goals through diligent tracking and reporting
Hire, attract, and retain top talent while improving team performance through regular coaching and feedback, fostering a culture where everyone is empowered to thrive and high-performing teams become the standard
Oversee third-party vendor delivery of IFM services, negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring service level agreements are consistently exceeded across all sites
Coordinate and align delivery of multiple service lines to achieve client satisfaction, implementing best practices and developing outstanding relationships with key stakeholders
Manage comprehensive work order systems and CMMS platforms to ensure operational transparency, data-driven decision-making, and audit-ready documentation
Identify and pursue account growth opportunities while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, safety compliance, and overall client value
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
8+ years of progressive facilities management experience, with at least 4+ years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale, multi-site portfolios of 100+ locations
Proven track record of managing complex client accounts with teams of 100+ employees and annual budgets exceeding $10 million
Expertise in integrated facilities management operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems, building automation technologies, and audio visual support
Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, geographically dispersed
Strong financial acumen with experience in operational and capital budget development, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost optimization strategies
Excellent communication and executive presence with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels and coordinate multiple service lines
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager), FMP (Facilities Management Professional), PMP (Project Management Professional), or PE (Professional Engineer)
Experience managing facilities operations for government contractors, aerospace, defense, or technology sector clients
Location: Reston, VA with 20% domestic travel, as needed

Estimated compensation for this position:
170,000.00 – 200,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
