Job Description

As a Security Officer Healthcare Shelter Patrol in North Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control and alarm response. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal protocols at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor logs, and provide directions or assistance in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities accurately.
• Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
