Overview
Windsor Regional Hospital is a major acute-care facility providing emergency services, inpatient care, diagnostics, surgical units, cancer care, and specialty clinics.
As a Healthcare Security Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors in a fast-paced, high-traffic healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas
- Verify identification badges and visitor access
- Conduct patrols across hospital premises (ER, maternity, parking, corridors)
- Identify and report suspicious activity or hazards
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents
- Assist with de-escalation of disruptive situations
- Support hospital staff during emergencies and evacuations
- Assist with patient transport when required for safety
- Monitor CCTV systems and security equipment
- Maintain detailed logs and incident reports
- Communicate with hospital staff and law enforcement when needed
- Provide directions and assistance to patients and visitors
- Follow all safety procedures and hospital policies
