Overview
Paladin Security is looking for compassionate, professional, and safety-focused Healthcare Security Guards to join our team at St. Joseph's Hospital in Thunder Bay.
St. Joseph's Hospital is a specialized rehabilitative care hospital within St. Joseph's Care Group, providing rehabilitation, mental health, addictions, and complex continuing-care services throughout Northwestern Ontario.
In this role, you'll do much more than patrol hallways—you'll become an important member of the healthcare team by supporting staff, assisting patients and visitors, preventing incidents, and helping create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols throughout hospital departments, parking areas, and surrounding grounds.
- Monitor access points to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Respond promptly and professionally to emergency calls and security incidents.
- Assist healthcare staff with distressed patients and visitors using verbal de-escalation techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
- Write accurate, detailed, and objective incident reports using digital reporting systems.
- Collaborate with police, fire, EMS, and other emergency responders when required.
- Maintain professionalism and situational awareness in a dynamic healthcare environment.
