Build the Technology That Keeps Manufacturing Moving
MPI is looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join our Knox, Indiana team and play a key role in keeping our manufacturing operations connected, secure, reliable, and running efficiently.
This is a hands-on opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys solving problems, working directly with employees, and supporting technology in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work closely with our Corporate IT Manager and plant leadership while having ownership of day-to-day IT support and systems at our Knox facility.

What You'll Do
- Provide hands-on IT support for employees, computers, laptops, printers, barcode scanners, label printers, mobile devices, production terminals, and other technology.
- Troubleshoot and maintain Windows workstations, servers, networks, Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and related infrastructure.
- Administer Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, user accounts, permissions, and security controls.
- Support PLEX ERP and manufacturing systems, including production terminals, labels, scanners, transactions, reports, and user access.
- Support shop-floor technology including production data collection, traceability, quality systems, inspection equipment, cameras, and manufacturing technology.
- Manage employee IT onboarding and offboarding, including account access, equipment, software, and system permissions.
- Monitor backups, assist with recovery testing, patching, cybersecurity, endpoint protection, and vulnerability remediation.
- Respond quickly to technology issues affecting production, shipping, receiving, quality, payroll, and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventories, system documentation, network diagrams, licenses, equipment records, and change records.
- Work with vendors, contractors, telecommunications providers, Corporate IT, and software support teams.
- Help with new equipment installations, technology projects, manufacturing launches, upgrades, and continuous improvement.
- Train employees on technology, cybersecurity, PLEX, and proper support procedures.
- Support company requirements related to IATF 16949, cybersecurity, audits, data protection, and controlled manufacturing records.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on IT support, systems administration, networking, or related experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- High school diploma/GED required; IT, networking, cybersecurity, or related education preferred.
- Experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, hardware, servers, backups, printers, and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving and customer-service skills with the ability to prioritize production-critical issues.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical employees.
- Ability to work independently while partnering with Corporate IT and plant leadership.
- Must be available for First Shift, with occasional on-call, weekend, shutdown, and emergency support.
