Description
Location: Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town
Life as a Maintenance Engineer::
- Maintains the hotel's building, equipment, and guest rooms to ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and associates.
- Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and other building systems.
- Responds promptly to maintenance requests from guests and associates, delivering timely and courteous service.
- Inspects hotel equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure everything is operating safely and efficiently.
- Completes preventative maintenance in all guest rooms and public areas while maintaining established quality standards.
- Assists with repairs, painting, furniture maintenance, lighting, and other general upkeep projects throughout the property.
- Works closely with the Engineering Supervisor to complete assigned projects and maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the hotel.
- Performs other duties assigned by management.
What we're looking for:
- Previous hotel engineering experience or comparable maintenance experience in a hotel, apartment community, office building, or similar environment preferred.
- General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building maintenance systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

First, you'll become familiar with our hotel, building systems, and engineering team. From there, you'll begin performing preventative maintenance, responding to guest and associate requests, and helping keep the property operating at its best.
