Position: Semi Senior Accountant

Location: Doncaster
Salary: Up to £34,000 depending on experience

Are you an experienced Semi Senior Accountant looking to join a supportive accountancy practice where you'll have the opportunity to manage a varied client portfolio, develop your technical skills and work closely with an experienced team?

An established accountancy practice in Doncaster is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant to support the continued growth of the firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous practice experience who is looking for a role offering variety, client exposure and the chance to continue progressing within a friendly and professional environment.

 

The Role:

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

• Completing VAT returns

• Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance

• Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting queries

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

• Working closely with senior members of the team

• Taking increasing responsibility for your own portfolio as your experience develops

 

About You:

• Previous accountancy practice experience

• Experience preparing year-end accounts

• Knowledge of VAT and general practice accounting

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Excellent communication skills

• A proactive approach and willingness to learn

 

The role would suit someone who is:

• AAT part or qualified or working towards further qualifications

• ACA/ACCA part-qualified

• Qualified by experience (QBE)

Candidates from a strong accounts background who are looking to progress into a Semi Senior role will also be considered.
