Key Roles & Responsibilities:
The management of the warehouse team, including recruitment, training & development, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs to enhance employee skills and performance.
Implement inventory control procedures to monitor stock levels, track movements, and minimize discrepancies. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory records. Co-ordinate with procurement and production teams to forecast inventory needs and maintain optimal stock levels.
Supervise warehouse staff and allocate tasks to ensure timely completion of daily operations. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety. Implement best practices for warehouse layout, storage, and material handling to maximize space utilization and productivity.
The operational management of flows between the internal and external warehouse. Lead the operational follow-up with the external warehouse provider, supported by the EU Logistics Manager who looks after the service level agreement. Ensuring that this is done in the most cost-efficient manner whilst maximizing the quality and service level to customers.
Continually review and improve time slot adherence, both for inbound as outbound shipments. Work with procurement and transport planning to drive improvements.
Liaise with customer service, operations and procurement to ensure deliveries on time and in full to our customers. Act as key contact person for any escalations and improvements on site in Herentals related to our warehouses. Critical to ensure delivery to our customers on time and follow up queries and non-conformances.
Daily monitoring of the KPIs and ensure taking corrective actions for those that are not reaching the targets. Develop further set of KPIs on cost and efficiency of the warehouse activities
Play a key role in GPE supporting initiatives (Griffith Performance Excellence). Take initiatives focused on reducing costs, whilst ensuring safety and service targets are being met
Driving collaboration with other sites to ensure optimization of our EU warehouses
Business Expertise
Solid experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Business, by preference being exposed to perishable products before.
Extensive knowledge of warehouse management systems and other relevant software applications for efficient management of inventory records and operational data analysis
5 years of experience in a warehouse manager role is a minimum requirement
Experience with the implementation of a warehouse management system would be a plus
Fluency in Dutch
Fluency in English
Compensation
The starting base salary for this role is 75.000 EUR gross fix per year.
