Description

If you have a strong junior or young contemporary background, understand private label timelines and price points, and can manage a high volume of styles without losing your eye for product, this one is worth a look.

Now hiring a designer for a well-established private label apparel company with a strong junior and young contemporary women's business. They design and develop product at volume and speed, working directly with overseas factories on a fast-moving seasonal and monthly calendar. The team has a clear commercial point of view and a deep understanding of what the junior customer wants right now. This is a hands-on design role with real ownership across categories. You will take trend direction and translate it into commercial product, build tech packs, review samples, and stay in close contact with factories and cross-functional partners throughout the development process.

  • Review samples and provide precise feedback on design, fabric, trim, color, and fit to ensure the product executes to intent
  • Work directly with overseas factories, Product Development, and Technical Design throughout the development calendar
  • Manage multiple deadlines simultaneously and make fast, clean revisions based on buyer feedback
REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience designing across multiple non-denim categories including knits, wovens, dresses, and soft bottoms
  • Comfort working directly with overseas factories and navigating a fast development timeline
  • Ability to manage a high volume of styles with speed and accuracy
