Finance Analyst

What will you work on?

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Analyst is to assist in ensuring that reporting is accurate and timely, along with managing the statutory and accounting processes for Spin Master International B.V., Spin Master Europe Holdings B.V. and Spin Master Europe Ventures B.V.

Finance Analyst will be key contributor to the monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting, forecast & planning processes, working with businesses unit leaders to enable an understanding of locak financial performance and developing consistent, concise forecasts and plans, and monthly variance reporting at cost center level.

How will you create impact?

• Month end journal preparation for general ledger and balance sheet reviews (excluding accounts receivable, accounts payable).

• Prepare monthly management accounts and prepare and review analysis files to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial and management reporting.

• Review month end P&L market reporting and sales reports to be supplied to the sales team and management team.

• Hold regular cost center reviews with the business unit leaders, and work with them to maintain departmental operational costs within budget, especially marketing and sales accruals.

• Assist on the budget/forecast submission and by preparation of the overhead budgets, working with the business unit leaders.

• Prepare the month end reports (G&A overhead focus) and comment on performance against objectives.

• Preparation of the monthly cash flow forecasts, including variance analyses to previous submissions.

• Prepare account reconciliations on a monthly basis, and review with the Finance Manager.

• Assist with preparation of Statutory Accounts and compliance with local GAAP;

• Identify and work with the finance manager and other finance team members to improve processes to deliver a more efficient and effective financial reporting and analysis

• Business partnering, supporting local management teams in understanding their financial data and performance, including the preparation of ad hoc reports for various members of the management teams.

• Liaise with external tax advisers and auditors in regard to the annual statutory requirements.

• Prepare quarterly royalty statements for review.

• Assist in supporting Finance Team requests, ad-hoc analysis, and any local/IT projects as required.

What are your skills and experience?

• Assist in supporting Finance Team requests, ad-hoc analysis, and any local/IT projects as required.
• Part-qualified accountant with minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience preferably in the FMCG industry
• Fluent English
• Ability to work independently, being highly self-motivated,
• Strong organizational skills,
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment,
• Goal oriented to achieve targets through self-motivation, persistence & determination,
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills,
• An understanding of technical IFRS accounting,
• Experience working with SAP and Business Inteligence to high level

The anticipated pay range for candidates is 2000 - 2500 Eur to [Per Month]. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
