Description
This position is 100% onsite and is not eligible for Telework.• Reports to the Graphic Design Supervisor and works with members of the Graphic Design team and other Legislative Communications Office staff.
• Assist with the preparation of graphics and layouts for newsletters, postcards, flyers, social media, signage and other communications materials.
• Assist with design projects for constituent outreach events, including social media graphics, flyers, banners, programs and table signage.
• Assist with the design and updating of brochures, books, business cards, certificates, citations, forms, presentation graphics and other print materials.
• Make revisions to designs based on feedback from the Graphic Design Supervisor and team members.
• Prepare files for digital and print production using established department guidelines.
• Assist with organizing project files, proofs and other design materials.
• Learn and follow established branding, typography, proofreading and production standards.
• Provide general support to the Graphic Design team and assist with special projects as assigned.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Basic understanding of design principles, typography and digital/print production.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, proofreading skills and willingness to learn.
• Creative, dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
