The Exploration, Learning and Mind Lab (PI: Emily Liquin) is seeking a part-time Research Coordinator. The Research Coordinator will contribute to research on the cognitive psychology of curiosity and learning. This is an hourly position for one year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year pending funding availability. The Exploration, Learning, and Mind Lab uses behavioral and computational approaches to investigate how children and adults learn and discover new things, with a focus on understanding curiosity, question asking, and exploration. The Research Coordinator will assist with conducting ongoing research and will be involved in general administration and supervision of the lab.
Duties/Responsibilities
Category 1 (40%)
Conducting studies in the laboratory, as well as offsite and online.
Category 2 (30%)
Providing support with general research activities (e.g., data analysis, literature review, writing research manuscripts, etc.)
Category 3 (15%)
Recruiting, training, and coordinating undergraduate research assistants
Category 4 (15%)
Performing various administrative duties (e.g., managing the labs’ IRB protocols, maintaining budgets,submitting reimbursement requests, managing participant recruiting systems, maintaining lab websites,maintaining lab emails)
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, cognitive science, linguistics, or neuroscience
Research experience in psychology
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
The ability to work independently
Keen attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Passion and interest for conducting cognitive and/or developmental psychology research
Preferred Qualifications:
> 1 year working or volunteering in a psychology research laboratory
Independently led research project (e.g., honors thesis, capstone, summer project, etc.)
Experience conducting primary research in cognitive and/or developmental psychology
Experience with quantitative research methods
Experience with R, Python, Javascript/HTML/CSS, or other programming languages
Experience managing a team
Other Requirements:
Regular weekend availability
Reliable personal transportation to off-campus research sites (in Seacoast Region, New Hampshire

Compensation Pay Range
$18.00-$24.00/Hour
