Position Description
The Director, Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading the organization's end-to-end talent acquisition strategy and execution across Canada. This role develops and implements scalable recruitment programs, workforce planning initiatives, employer branding strategies, and talent pipeline development efforts that support business growth and organizational objectives.
As a key member of the Human Resources leadership team, the Director, Talent Acquisition partners closely with senior leaders to understand workforce needs, build proactive talent strategies, and ensure the organization attracts, selects, and retains top talent. The role is accountable for the effectiveness, efficiency, and continuous improvement of all talent acquisition processes, systems, and programs while fostering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with the VP, Human Resources to develop and execute talent acquisition strategies that support the organization's overall HR and business objectives.
- Lead the development and execution of the Talent Acquisition strategy and multi-year roadmap to support continued organizational growth.
- Foster collaborative relationships with senior leaders across multiple business functions, influencing talent decisions and aligning recruitment strategies with departmental and enterprise-wide objectives.
- Build and strengthen relationships with colleges, universities, and other talent pipelines across Canada to attract and develop emerging talent.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Talent Acquisition team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives, including social media and digital recruitment strategies, to enhance TTI's reputation as an employer of choice.
- Design and optimize recruitment processes, programs, and systems to ensure scalability, efficiency, and exceptional candidate experience.
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent and reduce time-to-fill for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
- Leverage recruitment metrics, market intelligence, and workforce trends to inform hiring strategies and support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and recruitment best practices.
- Oversee the effective use of external recruitment partners and vendors to maximize hiring outcomes and cost efficiency.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including leadership responsibility within a complex or high-growth environment.
- Proven success in developing and executing talent acquisition strategies that support business growth and workforce planning objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to create both long-term plans and short-term execution strategies.
- Experience building talent pipelines, employer branding initiatives, and recruitment marketing programs.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on measurable results and continuous improvement.
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS platforms, and recruitment analytics tools; Workday experience is an asset.
- Experience within hard goods, retail, consumer products, or related industries is considered an asset.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
