POSITION: Bar Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Manager/Assistant Food and Beverage Manager
FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non Exempt

Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for a part-time Bar Supervisor. The Bar Supervisor requires an individual to have supervisory skills, customer service skills, positive attitude, and knowledge of alcohol and bars.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of bar setup, service, and breakdown for events.
Lead and manage a team of bartenders and bar backs, ensuring professionalism and efficiency.
Monitor beverage service to ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and Legends policies.
Ensure bar areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked prior to and during events.
Handle opening and closing bar inventories; communicate needs to Food & Beverage or Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
Train and coach staff on proper pouring techniques, customer service, and responsible alcohol service.
Ordering, receiving and preparing food items
Maintaining bar costs, waste log, and budget goals
Must possess effective communication with NPO Groups, bartenders, third party subcontractors and concession employees
Ability to oversee production of retail bar operations to be prepared for peak and slow periods
Able to adequately trouble shoot point of sale equipment
Inventory and quality controls
Ability to handle and properly respond to guest concerns with a solution-focused attitude
Working hours vary by show to include days, nights, weekdays, and weekends
Maintains all bar equipment. Adheres to cleaning and sanitation schedule.
Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises all Bar personnel and NPO staff. Support Concessions personnel, as needed. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
Serve-safe certified
Education and/or Experience
At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a bar establishment
Must possess a valid Indiana Server Liquor License and certificate of completion of Indiana Excise training courses
Skills and Abilities
Advanced oral and written communication skills.
Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
Results oriented individual with the ability to meet required budgetary goals.
Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and inter-personal skills.
Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
Computer skills to include Excel programs.
Must adhere to local Health Department codes.
