Description
The Legal Entity Reference Data Services (LERDS) team is part of the Global Client Reference Data Services (CRDS) function within CORDS and is responsible for the creation and maintenance of Morgan Stanley party reference data for clients, issuers and vendors throughout the entire business relationship lifecycle. The team is located in Glasgow, Baltimore and Mumbai and supports requests globally.
You Will
* Create new and maintain existing client, issuer and vendor (party) records within Morgan Stanley systems. This involves investigating approved sources and analysing documentation to determine key attributes required for operational processing, financial reporting and regulatory reporting.
* Maintain the reference data records of existing parties through appropriate analysis and due diligence, ensuring the reference database remains accurate and up to date.
* Process Corporate Actions including name changes, mergers and acquisitions by validating information against approved sources, partnering with stakeholders across the firm and ensuring all impacted parties, sites and hierarchies are updated accordingly.
* Partner with key business areas and stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies and regulations, while supporting enhancements to processes and data quality controls, including remediation initiatives driven by regulatory or business requirements.
* Update proprietary systems with relevant information and documentation and perform data quality reviews where required.
* Maintain a high level of accuracy and adherence to data quality standards. Key Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within an Operations environment and demonstrate strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
In addition, the successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
* Degree qualified or equivalent industry experience.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to manage volume fluctuations and prioritise workload, including ad hoc requests and projects, to meet business demands.
* Ability to identify potential risk issues and escalate appropriately in a timely manner.
* Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and in changing environments.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
* Self-motivated and capable of performing day-to-day activities with minimal supervision.
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build consensus across different groups.
