Manufacturing Quality Engineer
Location: Austin, TX — Onsite
Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to reduce manufacturing defects, scrap, and material discrepancies through data analysis, root-cause investigation, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing quality data and identify defect, scrap, and non-conformance trends.
- Use SQL, advanced Excel, Tableau, and statistical tools to investigate issues and track quality metrics.
- Lead corrective action and continuous improvement projects across Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, and Supplier Quality.
- Perform root cause and failure analysis for assembly and test issues.
- Support supplier quality issues, containment activities, and efforts to prevent production disruptions.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain and improve quality procedures and documented processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field.
- 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience, preferably in semiconductor, electronics, or advanced manufacturing.
- Strong experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and manufacturing quality improvement.
- SQL, advanced Excel, and Tableau experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Minitab or similar statistical tools.
- Lean/Six Sigma experience; Green Belt is a plus.
- Strong analytical, project management, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX.
