Msuez Uk is a leading healthcare provider in Johannesburg, South Africa. We are currently seeking a highly organized and efficient Medical Receptionist to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of patients through the clinic. Your responsibilities will include answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and processing payments.
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a medical receptionist role is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and process payments
- Maintain patient records and update any changes in information
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scanning documents
- Monitor and order office supplies as needed
- Ensure waiting area and reception desk are clean and organized
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient and effective patient care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist or administrative role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
