Job Description:

We are currently seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, both in person and over the phone. Your main responsibilities will include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or person
• Schedule appointments for patients and ensure accurate record-keeping
• Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or other payments
• Maintain patient records and update information as needed
• Communicate with doctors and other staff members to ensure smooth patient flow
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
• Follow all privacy and confidentiality policies to protect patient information
• Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service
• Keep the reception area clean and organized at all times
• Other duties as assigned by the office manager or supervisor.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficient in using computers and electronic medical records systems
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Must be able to work full-time and have a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends if needed.
