HR Intern - Part Time

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition: Assist in identifying, screening, and selecting candidates for open positions. Post job openings across job boards and company platforms. Review applications and screen resumes for candidate qualification. Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communication. Support background checks, reference checks, and preparation of offer and notification letters.

Onboarding & HR Administration: Assist with new-hire orientation and benefits enrollment. Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files. Organize and maintain HR shared files and resources. Training and Development: Support new hire onboarding and employee training initiatives.

Employee Relations, Performance Management & HR Support: Support internal engagement initiatives, including events and recognition efforts. Learn and assist in goal setting, performance documentation, and feedback processes. Respond to general employee questions related to HR policies and benefits. Gain exposure to disciplinary processes and termination procedures.

Compliance, Benefits & Reporting: Assist in benefits administration. Learn and support processes related to workers’ compensation, unemployment, OSHA, and broader HR compliance requirements.

HR Administration and Payroll: Maintain employee records, support HRIS updates, and assist with administrative tasks. Assist with administrative responsibilities such as phone coverage, supply management, and reception support. Participate in HR meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Currently a senior pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related coursework.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Reliable transportation to Crane CryoWorks in Jurupa Valley, CA.
• Availability of 20-30 weekday hours per week.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Interest in relocating outside of California for future opportunities within Crane preferred.

Hourly Range: $23 to $26. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Compensation packages also include comprehensive benefits, 401K contribution and match, Paid Time Off, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement and more. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
