Meetingselect is entering an exciting new phase of growth, and Finance Operations plays a key role in supporting that journey.
The booking of meeting and event venues involves a level of financial complexity that most platforms never encounter, including invoicing multiple parties, managing supplier reconciliations, and processing high transaction volumes across Europe. Over the past few years, we have invested significantly in building a robust ERP foundation, and the results are paying off.
 
We are now entering the next chapter. AI-driven innovation is becoming an increasingly important part of our finance transformation strategy, helping us improve efficiency, quality, and scalability across our finance processes. Technology enables speed and productivity, allowing finance professionals to focus on the cases that truly require expertise and judgment. This transformation is critical to Meetingselect's future, and you will play a leading role in it.
 
As Finance Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Finance Director and lead a team of four Finance Operations professionals, with team members based in both Amsterdam and India. You will work alongside project managers responsible for AI initiatives and collaborate closely with colleagues in Controlling and Cash Control within the broader Finance department.
 
Daily, you will serve as the key connection between Finance, Meeting & Events Operations, Sales, Business Operations, and IT.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will remain actively involved in the day-to-day operation, support your team with complex cases and escalations, and continuously look for ways to improve processes and performance. An affinity for AI and innovation is highly valued; we are looking for someone who sees technology as an opportunity rather than a threat.

 Key Responsibilities
⭐ Lead, coach, and develop the Finance Operations team across Amsterdam and India
⭐ Oversee the day-to-day operations of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Finance Support
⭐ Provide hands-on support to the team with complex cases, operational challenges, and escalations
⭐ Monitor and drive improvements in KPIs, SLAs, quality, and productivity
⭐ Optimize financial processes and ways of working, with a focus on automation and AI-driven improvements
⭐ Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions
⭐ Act as the primary point of contact for operational and financial inquiries across the organization
⭐ Align priorities and activities with Meeting & Events Operations, Sales, Business Operations, and IT
⭐ Foster a culture of collaboration, customer focus, accountability, and continuous improvement
 

What do you bring?

⭐ Minimum of 4 years of relevant operational experience, including at least 2 years within a finance environment
⭐ Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing teams
⭐ Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and billing processes
⭐ Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect teams and stakeholders across the organization
⭐ Analytical, proactive, result-oriented, and hands-on
⭐ Strong interest in AI, process innovation, and leveraging technology to work smarter
⭐ Experience in hospitality, events, or another service-oriented industry is considered a strong advantage
⭐ HBO/Bachelor's or Master's level working and thinking capability, preferably in Finance, Business Economics, Accounting, or a related field
⭐ Experience working with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a strong plus
⭐ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
⭐ Experience with Power BI is an advantage
⭐ Fluent in English, both written and spoken
⭐ Knowledge of the Dutch language is considered a strong plus
