Security Officer - Armed

Schedule: Thursday - Saturday | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
 

Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is looking for a reliable Armed Mobile Security Officer to provide security coverage throughout the Dillon area. This position involves traveling between assigned locations, conducting security checks, controlling access at designated entry points, and maintaining awareness of conditions across the property.

The officer will spend much of the shift working independently and must be comfortable driving, performing outdoor inspections, communicating with authorized personnel, and taking appropriate action when security concerns arise.
 

What You Will Do

Mobile Security & Patrol

• Operate an assigned security vehicle while completing scheduled patrol routes.
• Conduct periodic foot checks of designated buildings, parking areas, gates, and perimeter locations.
• Look for unauthorized activity, property damage, unsecured areas, or other conditions requiring attention.
• Maintain a consistent security presence throughout assigned areas.
• Complete patrols according to established schedules, instructions, and client requirements.
   

Gate & Access Control

• Monitor designated access points during assigned coverage periods.
• Verify individuals and vehicles entering controlled areas when required.
• Follow established procedures for visitors, contractors, deliveries, and authorized personnel.
• Identify and report attempted unauthorized access.
• Maintain awareness of traffic and activity around secured entry points.
   

Security Response

• Investigate security concerns and unusual conditions within the limits of post instructions.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and other calls for assistance.
• Take reasonable steps to protect people and property while awaiting additional support.
• Communicate significant incidents to supervisors, dispatch, or designated contacts.
• Follow company policies and applicable laws when responding to security situations.
   

Reports & Shift Communication

• Maintain clear patrol and activity records throughout each shift.
• Prepare incident reports when security-related events require documentation.
• Record relevant observations, access concerns, equipment issues, and other noteworthy conditions.
• Communicate important information during shift changes and supervisor check-ins.
• Complete required documentation accurately before leaving duty.
   

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
• Personal firearm appropriate for assigned armed duties.
• Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm while performing assigned duties.
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, clients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Dependable attendance and professional conduct.
• Ability to work outdoors and remain attentive throughout a 12-hour shift.
   

Preferred Background

• Previous armed security or mobile patrol experience.
• Military or law enforcement background.
• Armed security qualifications and certifications.
• Experience working at secured or access-controlled properties.
• Familiarity with electronic reporting systems and patrol documentation.
• Experience handling security concerns independently and professionally.
