Armed Security Officer

Citadel Security USA is seeking a professional Part-Time Armed Security Officer to provide security coverage at a government facility and courthouse in Eagle, Colorado. This position is intended to provide coverage for scheduled absences, open shifts, and vacation relief, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible weekday hours while working in a professional government environment.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, providing coverage for open shifts, scheduled leave, and vacation assignments

 

Primary Responsibilities

Facility Security

• Maintain a professional armed security presence throughout the government facility and courthouse.
• Conduct routine patrols of interior and exterior areas to help maintain a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public spaces for unauthorized activity or safety concerns.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, or security-related incidents.

Access Control

• Monitor designated entry points and verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist by directing visitors to appropriate locations within the facility.
• Support established building security procedures and post orders.
• Report access concerns or unusual activity to supervisors promptly.

Incident Response

• Respond appropriately to disturbances, emergencies, or security concerns while following company and client procedures.
• Maintain situational awareness and exercise sound judgment during evolving situations.
• Coordinate with designated site representatives or emergency responders when required.
• Document incidents accurately and professionally.

Reporting & Documentation

• Complete daily activity logs and detailed incident reports.
• Record patrol observations, operational concerns, and security-related events.
• Maintain accurate documentation using approved reporting methods.
• Communicate important information during shift turnover when applicable.

Professional Conduct

• Provide courteous and respectful customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public.
• Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Follow all company policies, client requirements, and government facility procedures.
• Represent Citadel Security USA with integrity and professionalism.

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Personal firearm that complies with all applicable legal and company requirements.
• Ability to legally carry a firearm while performing assigned duties.
• Strong observation, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of situational awareness.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to cover varying weekday shifts.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous armed security experience in government facilities, courthouses, municipal buildings, or similar environments.
• Experience interacting professionally with the public in high-traffic settings.
• Military, law enforcement, or protective services background.
• Experience preparing detailed incident documentation and activity reports.
