DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

This role will report to The theSenior Country Engineering Manager  

As the Pre-Sales Engineer , you will:

  • Deliver pre-sales technical assistance for designated cybersecurity products to customers and partners.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team to formulate and position solutions for go-to-market strategies, as well as customer proposals.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of customers' IT/Security infrastructure and business requirements.
  • Conduct demonstrations of Cybersecurity Solutions.
  • Execute Proof of Concept for proposed cybersecurity and Network Performance solutions.
  • Collaborate with Solution Vendors in the development of Business Solution Proposals, actively participating in RFI/RFP design, compliance, and clarifications.
  • Formulate comprehensive design guidelines and offer recommendations for enhancements to customers regarding the assigned cybersecurity products.
  • Conduct in-house laboratory tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, endpoint/network designs, and deployments, incorporating new products and features.
  • Stay current on competitive solutions, products, and services within the cybersecurity domain.
  • Provide enablement training for internal Post Sales engineers at partner organizations, enhancing their product and technology knowledge.
  • Conduct regular updates on new products/technologies for the internal sales staff.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Pre-Sales Engineer :

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in Pre-Sales activities in government sector or related field. Candidates with several years of experience in delivery and implementation of cyber security technology and solutions and open to embark presales consultant role are welcome to apply.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the cybersecurity industry.
  • Ready to perform demo & presentation on product expertise on keys security technologies.
  • Possess good technical knowledge in network and cloud infrastructure, Windows, VMware, Security covering Endpoint, Email, Web & Cloud.
  • Able to design an architecture & write proposal.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Eagerness and ability to engage in courteous customer handling and commercial judgment would be preferred.

DESIRABLES

  • Industry or Technical Certification (ie. CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, CISSP, CEH) is a plus.
  • Exposure to security software solutions like Endpoint Security, Firewall, Intrusion prevention, Web & Email Security, Encryption, Data Protection, Vulnerability Management and Compliance & Audit will be added advantage.
