Host/Hostess – Local Table at Willow Valley Communities

Local Table, the fine dining restaurant at Willow Valley Communities, is looking for a friendly, polished, and customer-focused Host/Hostess to be the welcoming face of our dining room. If you enjoy interacting with people, thrive in a hospitality environment, and take pride in providing outstanding service, we'd love to meet you!

Position Details

📍 Location: Local Table at Willow Valley Communities💵 Pay: $15.50 per hour

🕒 Schedule:

• Two evenings per week (Wednesday–Friday)
• 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• + Every other weekend
• Some holidays required

What You'll Do

As a Host/Hostess, you'll play a key role in creating a memorable dining experience for our Residents and guests by providing a warm welcome and ensuring dining room operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

• Welcoming Residents and guests with professionalism and hospitality
• Escorting diners to their tables, providing menus, sharing specials, and pouring ice water
• Coordinating seating and maintaining an efficient flow throughout the dining room
• Supporting servers to ensure exceptional customer service and timely service
• Monitoring adherence to dining room dress code standards
• Assisting with the setup and execution of special events
• Updating menus as directed
• Assisting with clearing and resetting tables between seatings
• Inspecting dining and service areas for cleanliness and presentation
• Expediting food from the kitchen to the dining room to ensure proper timing of service
• Checking plates for accuracy, presentation, and temperature before delivery
• Communicating with servers when tables are ready and assisting with food delivery as needed
• Following all Willow Valley HACCP and Food Safety policies and procedures

What We're Looking For

✅ One to three months of hospitality, restaurant, customer service, or guest relations experience preferred

✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

✅ Positive, professional, and service-oriented attitude

✅ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced fine dining environment

✅ Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional guest experiences
