Commercial Account Manager – Mid-Market

Location: Edmonton (hybrid)

Our client is a leading Canadian insurance brokerage with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships with their clients. They are looking to add an experienced Commercial Account Manager to their team.

The Opportunity

As a Commercial Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of mid-market commercial accounts and supporting clients throughout the insurance lifecycle. You will work closely with clients, insurers, and internal teams to ensure their insurance programs are well managed and their service needs are met.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a portfolio of primarily mid-market commercial accounts.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and provide responsive, knowledgeable service.
• Review client insurance programs and identify coverage needs and potential gaps.
• Prepare submissions, applications, renewal documentation, and other account-related materials.
• Negotiate with insurance markets to obtain competitive coverage and pricing.
• Manage renewals, endorsements, policy changes, and other day-to-day account requirements.
• Collaborate with Producers and internal teams to develop and maintain client insurance programs.
• Work with underwriters to negotiate terms and advocate for clients.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Stay current on market conditions, products, and industry trends.
• Identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and support the growth of the portfolio.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of experience in a Commercial Account Manager, Senior Account Manager, or similar commercial insurance role.
• Strong knowledge of commercial P&C insurance products and coverages.
• Experience managing mid-market commercial accounts.
• Strong client service and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Level 2 insurance license and/or CIP designation is preferred.
