Job Description
About the role....
At Publicis One, we're proud to partner with LEGO, a brand that inspires creativity, imagination and play for millions of children and families around the world. We're looking for a strategic leader to help drive the next chapter of LEGO's global media transformation.
This is a role for someone who thrives on complexity, loves connecting people and ideas, and can confidently turn insight, data and ambition into powerful global strategies that deliver real business impact.
You'll sit at the centre of a highly collaborative global network, partnering with senior LEGO stakeholders, regional teams, local markets and specialist agency experts to shape how one of the world's most loved brands connects with audiences across paid, owned and earned channels.
Responsibilities
About the work....
As Global Strategy Director, you'll be a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, bringing informed thinking, fresh perspectives and strategic leadership across key global initiatives.
You'll:
- Act as the primary strategic partner for senior LEGO stakeholders, providing expert consultancy and guidance
- Develop and lead annual global media and communications strategies grounded in insight, data and audience understanding
- Connect priorities across LEGO Global Marketing and OLA (Our LEGO Agency) to ensure seamless and effective delivery
- Translate global strategic direction into actionable frameworks that empower regional and local teams
- Collaborate closely with investment, audience and insights, offline and digital specialists to deliver integrated solutions
- Drive the development of global media playbooks, planning frameworks and strategic toolkits used across markets
- Create compelling audience, research and insight-led outputs that inform business and marketing decisions
- Champion innovation, challenge conventional thinking and help drive the transformation agenda LEGO is pursuing
- Contribute to the growth of the wider Publicis One LEGO team by sharing expertise, building culture and supporting cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications
What you need to succeed....
You'll bring a blend of strategic thinking, client leadership and commercial awareness, alongside a genuine passion for understanding people and brands.
We're particularly interested in people who:
- Have significant experience within a media agency environment, ideally in a global or regional strategic role
- Are confident building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders
- Can bring together data, research and insight to tell compelling stories and create clear strategic narratives
- Enjoy working collaboratively and know how to bring diverse teams together around a common goal
- Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and creating clarity where none exists
- Have a proactive, self-starting mindset and enjoy taking ownership of complex projects
- Can simplify complex ideas and present them in a clear, engaging and persuasive way
- Thrive in fast-paced environments and can successfully balance multiple priorities
- Are naturally curious, analytical and willing to challenge assumptions to unlock better outcomes
- Strong strategic planning and communications expertise
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience translating complex datasets into actionable business recommendations
- Deep understanding of media strategy across both traditional and digital channels
- Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Exceptional organisational and project management abilities
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
Nice to have, but not essential....
Experience working within categories such as family marketing, entertainment, gaming, retail or consumer brands would be beneficial, as would an understanding of LEGO's business and audience ecosystem.
What's most important is your ability to think strategically, inspire confidence and help drive meaningful change.
