MACHINE OPERATOR
Job Description:

This is an opportunity to join the most exciting dog food company in the role of Machine Operator. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for working with a team in a manufacturing environment to set up, maintain, and operate machines to ensure minimal downtime and efficient production.
What are we looking for?
Education and Professional Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Knowledge/Experience
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to bend, stand, stoop, and squat.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
- Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Strong, verbal and written communication skills.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Proper operation of the assigned machine in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions and ensure that outputs are met.
- Examine and inspect raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Ensure appropriate and accurate documentation of processes.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain materials used in production processes.
- Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Recommend improvements consistently, striving for efficient and effective methodologies.
- Maintain departmental quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
