Description
We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our Scotts Miracle Gro team in Palmdale, FL!
2nd Shift 6 pm - 6:30 am.
The Night Shift Machine Operator will be working at a Scott's production facility operating various machines associated with the production of mulch and soil products.
What you’ll do in this role:
- Set up and operate machinery associated with product packaging.
- Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on a regular basis.
- Maintain activity logs/downtime paperwork.
- Operate forklifts to transport materials.
- Work within the guidelines of all safety procedures.
- Actively maintain good housekeeping standards assigned to your area.
- Solve daily operations problems with limited supervision.
- Ensure product quality by conducting a periodic quality checklist.
- All other duties assigned.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Able to identify all materials used, detail oriented, follow safe practices and procedures, ability to read English and or follow directions.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Able to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/ rainy weather, lift 50 pounds, and be able to climb ladders and work on their feet for the entire day.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work and communicate well with others.
- Attention to detail.
