Description
The role is responsible for supporting brand, communications, and community investment strategies through content creation, storytelling, stakeholder engagement, media initiatives, and CSR programs to strengthen brand awareness, reputation, and stakeholder connections.
This role will report to the Head of Brand, Proposition, Communications and Community Impact to support the execution of the strategic communications, brand, community investment, and sustainability strategies to achieve the organization's goals and values.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing brand & communications plans & strategies to support business goals & priorities.
- Support in transforming company results into impactful communications through data storytelling, visualization, and content creation.
- Assist in executing digital content/media partnerships and initiatives to increase brand awareness & consideration.
- Apply brand governance across all messaging and communications to ensure alignment with Manulife's brand guidelines, voice, and tone.
- Work closely with functions head to offer communications support on overall communication materials including but not limited to drafting speeches, talking points, media responses, withholding statement, scripts, etc.
- Work closely with functions head to co-lead existing company CSR programs, community investment initiatives, and partnerships, aiming to build brand exposure and engagement across internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with functions head to ensure alignment of key messaging across external communication touchpoints to convey a consistent and compelling brand story.
- Assist functions head in translation, drafting speeches and talking points for senior management for external events, speaking opportunities, and media interviews.
- Assist functions head in ensuring accuracy and governance of external communications materials for various initiatives and branding efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing & communication, public relation, content development & creation and/or in related field.
- Experience in developing content for various communication channels and platforms, including digital and traditional media.
- Good understanding of communications, messaging, and storytelling to effectively convey the organization's brand messages and narrative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, external partners, and community stakeholders.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on achieving strategic objectives.
- Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to external communications, brand management, and community investment.
