Job Description

As a Security Officer Customer Assistance Patrol in Bloomfield, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a dynamic logistics and distribution location. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, check in authorized personnel and vehicles, and maintain accurate visitor, driver, and delivery documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Observe and report security-related concerns, damaged property, unauthorized activity, and policy violations through required reports and communication channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
