Heartline Staffing is recruiting an Electrical Engineer for a full-time hybrid opportunity based in West Chester, Pennsylvania. This role focuses on the design of power, lighting, and electrical systems for commercial and industrial buildings and requires hands-on experience with building electrical-system design.
COMPENSATION
• $80,000–$130,000 annual salary based on experience

POSITION OVERVIEW
• Design commercial and industrial power-distribution, lighting, and control systems.
• Perform electrical load calculations, fault-current analysis, and voltage-drop calculations.
• Apply National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local building codes to project designs.
• Produce electrical design drawings, sketches, schedules, and project specifications.
• Coordinate electrical design work with mechanical, architectural, and structural teams.
• Review project submittals and contractor shop drawings.
• Conduct field activities, including surveys of existing conditions and construction observation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform electrical load calculations.
• Conduct fault-current and voltage-drop analysis.
• Design power-distribution, lighting, and control systems for commercial and industrial buildings.
• Interpret and apply NEC and local building-code requirements.
• Specify electrical equipment, components, and systems.
• Prepare design drawings, sketches, and schedules using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Prepare written project specifications.
• Review contractor shop drawings and project submittals.
• Survey existing site conditions and perform construction observation.
• Coordinate technical design work across HVAC, architectural, and structural disciplines.

Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) REQUIRED
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience designing building electrical systems REQUIRED
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit REQUIRED
• Working knowledge of MEP systems and building construction REQUIRED
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment REQUIRED
• Strong written and verbal communication skills REQUIRED
Preferred
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
