Isidore Newman School, a co-educational independent school that serves high-achieving and highly motivated students from early childhood through 12th grade, is currently accepting applications for a Digital Content and Multimedia Coordinator.

Position Overview
Isidore Newman School seeks a creative, collaborative, and enthusiastic Digital Content and Multimedia Coordinator to help tell the story of our vibrant school community. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled content creator who is proficient in photography, video, social media, writing, and storytelling and wants to be part of an active, student-centered environment.
Working closely with the Director of Communications, the Digital Content and Multimedia Coordinator will spend significant time immersed in the life of the school, capturing authentic moments, highlighting student experiences, and creating engaging content that connects families, prospective families, alumni, and the broader community to Newman. This role combines content creation and social media management with support for key school communications, including online news stories, internal communications platforms, and printed publications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Digital Content Creation & Social Media
- Develop and maintain Newman's social media presence across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
- Create engaging content including photography, short-form video, graphics, captions, stories, and reels.
- Capture and share meaningful moments from classrooms, performances, off-campus experiential learning, athletics, events, and community celebrations.
- Intentionally strategize, maintain, and execute a strategic social media content calendar aligned with the school calendar and key initiatives.
- Monitor social media engagement and help foster a positive, welcoming, and engaging online presence.
- Regularly engage with other Newman-affiliated social media accounts to ensure brand consistency.
- Photography, Video & Storytelling
- Serve as a day-to-day photographer and content creator in coordination with the Communications Manager.
- Capture high-quality photos and video for use across social media platforms, internal newsletters, the website, and printed publications.
- Create feature stories and community spotlights that highlight the Newman experience.
- Organize and maintain digital photo and video assets in coordination with the Communications Manager.
- Track and honor media permissions for students in coordination with the Communications Manager and Director of Communications.
- Communications Support
- Draft compelling written content to accompany visual assets
- Partner with faculty and staff across all divisions and departments to identify compelling stories and gather applicable content.
- Support content needs for enrollment management, development, parent organizations, athletics, the arts, and community events.
- Analytics & Administrative Support
- Track social media performance and digital engagement.
- Additional Responsibilities

- Engage in relevant school meetings, professional development, and community events.
- Work in an inclusive and student-centered environment while maintaining a consistent, active presence on campus to identify moments that exemplify the Newman story.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred in communications, marketing, journalism, digital media, visual communications, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in digital content creation, social media management, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience creating content for social media platforms, including photography, video, and graphic design.
- Experience working in education, nonprofit, mission-driven, or community-centered organizations is preferred but not required.
- Skills and Abilities
- Strong photography and visual storytelling skills.
- Experience creating and editing short-form video content for social media.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or similar creative tools.
- Experience with content management systems and social media analytics tools like Hootsuite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort learning new technologies and digital platforms.
