Position Purpose:
The HR Operations Manager at the Company is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the HR shared service center, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of HR programs and processes to a geographically dispersed workforce of over 15,000 employees. This role demands the application of advanced project and change management skills to facilitate seamless company transitions and uphold a high level of customer service excellence through Workday, sustaining operational ease across all HR interactions. Collaborating closely with internal departments and HR Centers of Excellence, the HR Operations Manager will oversee the development and implementation of HR policies, mentor and train staff, and monitor critical HR metrics to drive continuous improvement, all while ensuring full compliance with relevant laws and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the HR shared service center's daily operations to deliver exceptional support to a geographically dispersed workforce, ensuring seamless execution of HR processes via Workday and maintaining high service standards.
Implement and monitor HR programs, policies, and benefit plans by conducting comprehensive reviews to identify areas for improvement, and present strategic recommendations for operational enhancements and risk mitigation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR Centers of Excellence, to establish diligent communication structures and identify potential risks affecting organizational valuation during company transitions.
Develop and execute training initiatives for HR staff and cross-functional team members, focusing on skill development, cross-training, and performance optimization to align with customer service excellence standards.
Utilize project management and change management methodologies to drive successful organizational transitions, ensuring the smooth integration of HR operations and process improvements.
Oversee key HR metrics, such as time-to-hire and vendor efficiency, to assess process performance, identify training needs, and implement process re-engineering for improved HR operational efficiency.
Mentor and manage a team of hourly associates by providing ongoing coaching and development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to high customer service standards.
Coordinate and manage onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and maintaining adherence to company policies and procedures, including background checks and I-9 compliance.
Direct Manager Direct Reports:
The HR Operations Manager reports directly to the Senior Manager, Human Resources (HR) Operations and Acquisitions. This role requires collaboration across various internal departments, including all Centers of Excellence (COEs) within HR, ensuring the seamless execution of HR shared services.
The HR Operations Manager is responsible for supervising a team of hourly associates. Key responsibilities include training, developing, mentoring, and maintaining customer service standards. This role involves managing the cross-training and continuous development of team members to ensure operational excellence and adherence to all HR-related processes and policies.
Travel Requirements:
The HR Operations Manager at the Company is required to undertake occasional travel as necessary to provide on-site support and oversight for HR shared service center activities, conduct training sessions, manage cross-functional team initiatives, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures across various locations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role overseeing HR shared service centers.
Proven track record of working within large, geographically dispersed organizations, supporting 8,000+ employees.
Technical Proficiencies:
Advanced proficiency in Workday HRIS is required.
Demonstrated experience with project management tools and methodologies.
Skilled in utilizing data analytics software to monitor HR metrics and drive decision-making.
Leadership and Communication Skills:
Strong leadership capabilities with experience in training, supervising, and mentoring HR staff and cross-functional teams.
