Position Summary
The Order Manager is the central point of contact for order and backlog-related activity at Rolls-Royce Solutions America, overseeing the end-to-end Order Execution process for assigned accounts or applications. This role ensures accurate order-to-cash execution, timely reporting, and seamless coordination between internal and external customers, while also supporting Finished Goods inventory analysis and continuous improvement within the Order Execution function. Operating at the intersection of supply chain, finance, and customer operations, the Order Manager plays a key role in ensuring contractual fulfilment and operational visibility across the business
What you will be doing
- Own the Order-to-Cash process for assigned accounts, manage order and revenue tracking, monitor activities to ensure contractual fulfillment, and serve as the primary point of contact for all order and backlog-related inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Coordinate and analyze stock engine and Finished Goods requirements, evaluate VPA and stock engine requests, prepare Finished Goods inventory forecasts, and provide data-driven insights that support supply planning and business decision-making.
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards, create and manage visual dashboards for up-to-date order status reporting, deliver accurate and timely reports to stakeholders, and develop or revise processes to improve Order Execution efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement, identify and implement process enhancements within the Order Execution function, and contribute to special projects as required by leadership.
Basic Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in order management, supply chain, or distribution management, OR
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field with 1+ year of experience in order management, supply chain, or distribution management, OR
- Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field OR
- PhD/JD in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, OR
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, order management, or distribution management in lieu of a degree
Preferred Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with SAP (order management, supply chain, or analytics modules) and advanced proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or SAP Analytics Cloud to build dashboards and support business reporting.
- Experience managing Order-to-Cash processes, Finished Goods inventory, or stock engine/VPA coordination in a manufacturing or industrial environment, ideally with familiarity with mtu/RRPS products, policies, and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions on complex supply chain or order management challenges independently and with minimal supervision.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, effective communication skills across internal and external stakeholders, and the interpersonal agility to work effectively in cross-functional and international team environments.
