Sr Project ManagerSummary:
Senior Project Manager position in the Korea Energy Transition Center (KETC) with primary responsibility of supporting the SUSO project which is a first of a kind implementation of KBR’s H2ACT ammonia cracking technology. Under broad direction, this position is primarily responsible for tracking and reporting on all phases of planning and execution on the SUSO project with secondary responsibility of supporting project management activities on other projects (as required).
Plans, organizes, coordinates and controls projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.
Has responsibility for day-to-day contact and communication with the client and key SUSO project contractors and suppliers with focus on key project principles of safety, quality, cost and schedule.
Possesses knowledge of the respective industry.
Supervises personnel assigned to the project through subordinate leaders.
May also serve as the proposal manager and/or project manager on other projects.
The role includes a mix of office based work combined with regular visits to project construction site, client and EPC Contractor offices.
Primary Responsibilities:
Under broad direction, this position is responsible for planning and execution of Technology projects or may be responsible for a segment of larger projects.
Plans, organizes, coordinates and controls projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements of KBR Technology.
Has responsibility for day-to-day contact and communication with the client and focuses on providing client satisfaction.
May also serve as the proposal manager of medium-sized projects. Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities.
Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in
Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 15+ yrs CURRENT experience in Petrochemical or refinery area with average experience of 20+ yrs experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Korean and English are required.
Strong interpersonal skills such as relationship building and team motivation.
Leadership and/or management experience is required.
Candidates must show a work history demonstrating a steady progression towards increased responsibility in their roles.
Backgrounds in technology and engineering assignments as well as process technology or field construction assignments
Must be willing and available to travel domestic and international, as needed
Education:
B.S. in Chemical Engineering (or related discipline)
MBA (preferred)
