Description
The System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing KenCrest’s infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise systems. This role supports over 1,000 users across 150+ locations by administering Microsoft technologies, network security solutions, virtualization platforms, and disaster recovery systems. The ideal candidate will partner with IT leadership and business stakeholders to implement secure, scalable technology solutions while ensuring reliable day-to-day operations.
This position operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-office expectations of approximately one day per week at our headquarters in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
Some Essential Functions:
- Administer and support Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, and related cloud technologies.
- Manage user accounts, authentication services, conditional access policies, multifactor authentication (MFA), permissions, and identity security.
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance network infrastructure, firewalls, virtual environments, backups, and disaster recovery systems.
- Implement system upgrades, security patches, updates, and new technology solutions to improve performance, reliability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, connectivity, messaging, and application issues while ensuring timely ticket resolution.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, procedures, and knowledge base resources.
- Monitor security events, support compliance initiatives, and follow best practices aligned with NIST and cybersecurity standards.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement using scripting, SQL, integrations, and workflow technologies.
- Support and maintain a multi-site WAN environment serving 1,000+ users across 150+ locations, and participate in on-call or emergency support as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (equivalent experience may be substituted; two years of relevant experience may be substituted for one year of education).
- Minimum of 5 years of systems, network, or infrastructure administration experience in a small to mid-sized enterprise environment.
- Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, virtualization platforms, and enterprise networking technologies.
- Working knowledge of firewall administration, backup and disaster recovery processes, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience with automation, scripting, SQL, or systems integrations preferred.
- Microsoft certifications (Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server) preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-site environments and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware/Broadcom and enterprise telecommunications systems.
