You'll build meaningful connections, strengthen your interpersonal skills, and contribute in ways that truly make a difference.

The Application Security Intern will support the Application Development Security Lifecycle, from design review through testing and tool management.
Responsibilities
- Assist with web application penetration testing and vulnerability triage, rescoring, and retesting/validation
- Support secure design efforts by working with development teams to establish security requirements early in the SDLC
- Assist with administration of security tooling (SAST, DAST, software composition scanners, WAF) within the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
- Perform additional duties and contribute to projects as assigned
Knowledge and Experience
- Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, MIS, CIS, or a related discipline and be at least advancing to their senior year of study
- Training or hands-on experience with software engineering in Java, Python, C#, .NET, or related languages is a plus
- Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10, Burp Suite or equivalent testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP), and security concepts such as RBAC; exposure to a scripting language (Python preferred), web and HTTP fundamentals, SAST/DAST/SCA tooling, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus
- Interest in or exposure to AI and large language models (LLMs), including emerging security risks such as prompt injection, is a plus
Internship Program Schedule
To accommodate varying academic calendars, the ICE Internship Program offers two schedule options:
- Option 1: May 24, 2027 – August 6, 2027
- Option 2: June 7, 2027 – August 20, 2027
Candidates will be asked to select their preferred session during the application process.
Please Note: Interns must be available to work full-time, five days a week, at our Jacksonville office for the entire duration of one of the designated program schedules. Partial participation or alternate dates cannot be accommodated.
