We are looking for an experienced General Accountant to join our Finance team in Mexico.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Mexican accounting and tax regulations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and vendor relationships.
- Review and reconcile corporate credit cards, expense reports, and employee reimbursements.
- Maintain electronic accounting records in compliance with SAT requirements.
- Prepare and submit DIOT (Declaración Informativa de Operaciones con Terceros).
- Support the preparation and filing of monthly and annual tax returns.
- Manage and monitor VAT, income tax, and withholding tax obligations.
- Review the proper classification and reclassification of general ledger accounts.
- Perform account reconciliations and support accurate monthly and year-end closings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Mexican accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and other business partners as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Solid experience in general accounting and taxation in Mexico.
- Strong knowledge of SAT regulations, DIOT, VAT, income tax, and withholding taxes.
- Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, expense reports, and general ledger activities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advanced English – mandatory requirement. Candidates must be comfortable communicating professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
