CED Product Marketing Intern

Job Purpose:

Responsible for supporting the Contractor Equipment Division’s Worldwide Product Marketing team members as they develop strategies for long term product line growth.

Product Marketing Interns will develop real world experience in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.  Each intern will be aligned with an expert Product Manager who will provide challenging assignments that are driven from key business needs.  You will work hands-on together on a wide range of projects including market research, historical sales analysis, long range product planning, creation of reports and presentations, and the development of brochures and other selling tools. Internships can begin as early as spring semester (part-time hours) and they would extend through the summer (full-time hours).

Top interns will be strong candidates for full time employment opportunities upon completion of their degree programs.

Graco is a global leader in the design, development, and manufacture of highly-engineered systems for numerous industrial and commercial applications.  This position will support our Contractor Equipment Division (CED) in Rogers, MN.  At CED our product line meets the needs of painting and general contractors, and includes airless, air and gas-powered sprayers, line stripers, pressure washers, and roofing equipment (http://bit.ly/1zMGRDu).

Essential Duties:

• Conduct secondary market research on products, applications, and markets
• Analyze the competitive landscape
• Help analyze and develop market segmentation strategies
• Assist with voice of customer efforts
• Review relevant industry publications and report on current topics and important trends
• Perform historical sales analysis to identify issues and potential opportunities
• Help develop training materials for use with distribution and sales teams that highlight core product strengths and differentiated end user benefits
• Participate in the design and development process for new products
• Support new product launch initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Sophomore or Junior pursuing a degree in Marketing or Business from an accredited university
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proficient Microsoft Office usage skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently on assigned projects
• Mechanical aptitude and the desire to work hands-on at times
• Minimum GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale desired

LED Marketing intern

Job Purpose:

The Graco Lubrication Equipment Division (LED) Marketing Intern will participate in the development, coordination, and promotion of marketing content, promotional activities and product launches to drive awareness of Graco products and help achieve divisional goals. As a member of the marketing team, the Marketing Intern will get the opportunity to find creative solutions that help promote our lubrication equipment in automotive and industrial applications in North America. Develop real-world experience in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment while working on a wide range of projects.

• Assist with developing targeted advertising campaigns and monitoring performance

• Assist with developing marketing and sales collateral, writing and editing content  

• Assist with executing new product launch initiatives

• Work with internal and external subject matter experts to create engaging content that supports marketing goals

• Create and develop digital assets such as graphics and video for integrated marketing communications

• Update existing content to ensure relevancy to target audiences

• Other duties as assigned.

CUSTOMER SERVICE eCOMMERCE MARKETING INTERN

The purpose of this position is to learn through an immersion within the eCommerce Digital Team. The intern will be a key member of the team, working on various projects throughout the summer and will close with a final presentation to the Executive Leadership Team. It is an exciting opportunity to hone skills and drive awareness and adoption by identifying and delivering on customer needs. This role is a great step in developing a long-term marketing or communications career within Graco.

Essential Duties:

The eCommerce Intern may assist in a number of project and/or operations support roles in the Customer Service Digital Team department. Assignments may include work such as:

• Competitive Audits & Recommendations for B2B eCommerce Content, Media, Programs & Promotions
• Support a global eCommerce platform launch for Graco's Partner Portal based on a brief outlining of goals and objectives
• Engagement with all functions and divisions of marketing and eCommerce organizations
• Present findings & plan recommendations to Executive Leadership Team
• Perform historical eCommerce order/use analysis to identify issues and potential opportunities
• Other duties as assigned

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation.  If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience.  In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees.  Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role.  Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
