Oklahoma Human Services (OKDHS) is hiring a Director of Digital Transformation - Adult and Finance Services. As the largest state agency, Human Services has the largest number of active technology projects in state government with a backlog of many new opportunities as the agency migrates from legacy to current technology. Current technology includes implementations in the State Data Center, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform as well as work in progress in Amazon Web Services.
 
This is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to make a difference in Oklahoma by providing new and more efficient capabilities to vulnerable Oklahomans and the Human Services team members that serve them. As part of the Digital Transformation Office, this position contributes to strengthening families and improving safety for vulnerable Oklahomans.
The Deputy Director of Adult and Finance platforms will direct a team focused on understanding the needs of the division’s customers and ensuring those customers achieve the desired outcome to better service OKDHS clients. 
 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field and (6) years of direct experience managing a technology environment of similar size, 
OR 
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Duties

The Deputy Director of Adult and Finance Platforms helps manage and improve OKDHS’s technology platforms, making sure they work well and meet our needs. You will work closely with different teams to bring new ideas, solve problems, and ensure our platforms run smoothly. Your goal will be to keep our systems up-to-date, secure, and useful for everyone in the company. 
Responsibilities include:
Lead with Strategy: Help set the direction for our technology platforms to make sure they support our company’s goals. 
Manage Platforms: Oversee how our platforms are planned, set up, maintained, and improved over time. 
Drive Innovation: Lead projects to update old systems and add new technologies that help our company stay ahead. 
Work with Teams: Collaborate with IT, business units, and other groups to make sure our platforms meet everyone’s needs.
Ensure Compliance: Make sure our platforms follow rules and best practices, especially for security and data privacy. 
Monitor Performance: Keep track of how well our platforms are working and find ways to make them better. 
Manage Resources: Handle budgets, resources, and work with vendors to deliver platform solutions effectively.
Lead the Team: Guide and support a team of managers and tech experts, helping them grow and succeed. 
Handle Changes: Lead change management efforts to make sure new platforms and technologies are adopted smoothly.
