Staff Business Analyst

About the Role

The Staff Business Analyst will serve as a strategic liaison between Information Technology and business stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, Procurement, Customer Operations, and Finance. Reporting into the IT organization, this role is responsible for understanding business needs, documenting requirements, leading cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring successful delivery of business process and technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, deep knowledge of supply chain and ERP processes, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to lead complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.

What You will Do

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, operational challenges, and process improvement opportunities.

• Facilitate requirements gathering workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with cross-functional teams.

• Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), process flows, use cases, user stories, and business process maps.

• Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment, transparency, and successful execution.

• Develop project plans, track milestones, manage risks and dependencies, and provide regular status updates to leadership.

• Analyze current-state business processes and identify opportunities for standardization, automation, optimization, and digital transformation

• Support ERP implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and business transformation initiatives.

• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), facilitate issue resolution, and ensure business readiness for deployments.

• Facilitate decision-making sessions and drive alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities.

 What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Functional Analyst, ERP Analyst, or similar role.

• Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing complex business requirements across multiple business functions.

• Deep understanding of Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning, Inventory Management, Logistics, and Customer Operations processes.

• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.

• Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, process maps, workflow diagrams and business cases.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.

• Experience working with both business and technical teams to deliver enterprise solutions.

• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong organizational and project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

ZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $105K - $140K. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
